Who is FWP: Meet our Presses: Norma - Vandercook Universal III

Our newest member to our pressroom family is Norma our Vandercook Universal III. She came from another letterpress printer who loved her as much as we will. Originally the press was purchased by the Lawyers Co-operative Publishing Company in Rochester, New York back in 1966. Now we are happy to provide for her a loving home to hopefully keep her cylinder and gears warm.

Norma's name is fitting for her as it means "pattern" or "rule". The perfect name as she prints with precision and consistency. Not to mention a registration that is accurate within .0002"!

Some might ask why do we need a different a third and different press? Just like there are different tools that provide different functions, this press along with the other members of the Farmwood Press family, provide us with the flexibility and functionality to create and craft various pieces of work for our clients. This allows us the larger formats of posters to smaller items with consistent impression and overall ink coverage. I know you will love what she creates!
